Since April 2015, Burundi has faced a deteriarating socio-political and security situation in the pre- and post-electoral period. This period is characterized by disputes and violations of human rights, attacks by armed groups, assassinations and arrests. This resulted in refugee movements to neighboring countries and internally displaced persons. This situation also has serious repercussions on humanitarian needs and living conditions.
This project contributes to the reduction of sexual and gender-based violence and the holistic care of Sexual and Gender-based Violence (SGBV) survivors in Bujumbura Mairie Province.
The project aims at 12,520 boys and girls in the age of 15 to 24. Mass communication awareness activities will reach 21,300 persons.
