Since the start of the Syrian crisis, many Syrians have been escaping their motherland and seeking shelter in close by nations. Lebanon has been the main host country for Syrian refugees with over 980,000 individuals on its land. Many of them have found shelter but are still lacking everyday needs. In order for The Lebanese Red Cross to aid these refugees, the staff and volunteers need to be trained.
The objective of this project is to ensure that 12 Relief Disaster Management teams at the Lebanese Red Cross are trained on assessment, beneficiary selection, distribution of relief items, reporting on relief activities and security around relief operations.
The project aims to train 16 branches of the Lebanese Red Cross. The project is implemented, coordinated and funded by The Netherlands Red Cross.
