Registered Palestinian refugees in Lebanon receive health care support from UNRWA. UNRWA supports the Palestinian Red Crescent as it is a major care provider through its clinics and hospitals. As Lebanese authorities have no mandate in the camps little has been done to prepare for either man-made or natural disasters in the camps. This leaves particularly the camp populations extremely vulnerable to hazards.
PRCS/L is providing secondary health services for Palestine and Syrian refugees, Lebanese and more. The project will aim to reduce the effect of the disaster when happened. Establishing one system for all branches (camps) inside Lebanon. The risk in the Palestinian camps is very high so the needs in all camps are big too. For that reason to improve the response preparedness are needed in all regions (in all camps).
Capacity building and training is offered to staff personel of PRCS/L on HQ and branche level.
