Why?
This project is a collaboration between the NLRC, the DRCRC and the Belgian RC to improve access to water, hygiene and sanitation in DRC. The project uses a community approach and increases capacity building to reduce child mortality and morbidity due to diarrhoea. 65k euro was implemented by the Spanish RC The programme aims to reduce child mortality due to diarrhoea in eleven countries. To avoid infection of the youngest, most vulnerable children within a family, the entire community is assisted by providing clean drinking water, sanitary facilities and soap. Furthermore, the Red Cross gives parents and children information and training on hygiene and care for people with diarrhoea. The project takes place in Matadi

The financial contribution from the Netherlands Red Cross is funded by the Serious Request 2013 radio campaign.
Who?
This is a cooperation between NLRC, DRCRC and Belgian RC. 65k euro was implemented directly by the Spanish RC.
