Why?

This project will provide a coherent and coordinated response to the crisis following the Syria conflict. The Madad-funded initiative is implemented in multiple contexts with various institutional challenges and varying needs of vulnerable persons from Syria as well as in the host communities, as is also evident in the Response Plans of Lebanon and Jordan and the 3RP country chapters of Turkey, Egypt and Iraq. This project covers assistence to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. This project consists of a range of plans in different countries around Syria. All these countries have a strong presence of national RCRC societies. For this reason a consortium is formed to act more effective and flexible in the region. The project takes place in Lebanon (country wide)

What?

The action will provide economic opportunities to refugees and community people in Egypt, Iraq, Jordan and Turkey. Communities will have improved knowledge and health as they are able to manage the health risks facing them and have access to a sustainable sanitation system. Because of the protracted nature of the crisis considered, the long-term duration need to be supported which is best be done in a sustainable manner through national and community based organizations with a strong presence in the targeted areas.

Who?

In case of improved health and psychosocial well-being, targeted populations consists of women, men, girls and boys of Syrian refugees and of host community. Capacity building is directed towards Host National Society.
