Why?
On 2 December 2019, a cyclonic formation started to form in the south eastern Indian Ocean. On 5 December 2019, this cyclonic depression was named Tropical Cyclone Belna and its trajectory threatened two islands of the Union of Comoros, namely Anjouan (population: 38,944) and Mohéli (population: 50,854). As the intensifying tropical cyclone heads for the north-western parts of Madagascar, it is expected to bring extensive amounts of rain and strong winds onto Comoros starting 08 December 2019.
