Why?
This intervention will support South Sudanese Red Cross (SSRC) to contribute to prevention of COVID-19 transmission in South Sudan’s main hub, Juba. The overall goal of SSRC is to contribute to the prevention and control of COVID-19 community transmission through increased knowledge among health care workers and Red Cross volunteers; and improved preventive COVID-19 hygiene behavior by the vulnerable population. South Sudan can expect a massive impact within a matter of weeks if no effective measures are taken early in the COVID-19 outbreak, unless effective suppression and control measures are enacted in all areas with active outbreaks.
