Innovative approaches in response preparedness: Forecast-based financing, Data preparedness and Cash Transfer Programming to reduce the impact of climate change on the most vulnerable people. This project focuses on providing technical support on data preparedness to the implementing National Societies. Data preparedness will help the implementing National Societies in providing more timely and adequate response to climate-related hazards. Uganda, Ethiopia and Kenya
What?
Providing support in setting up in-country data teams, gathering secondary data on hazards, vulnerabilities and capacities, creating layered community risk assessment maps, setting up data responsibility policy.
Who?
The direct beneficiaries of this project are the implementing National Societies. The indirect beneficiaries, as a result of more timely and adequate response by the implementing national societies, are vulneranle populations who face climate-related hazards (floods, droughts).
