Cholera epidemic outbreak in the region of Maradi, specifically in the health district of Madarounfa. Inadequate access to basic Social Services in the areas where the outbreak occurred;
• Inadequate funding and logistic/supplies for rapid response to the outbreak;
• Inadequate coordination between the Health Cluster and the Ministry of Public Health;
• Inadequate community-based surveillance in place for early waring information to assist investigations and
responses;
• Insufficient capacity of staff in case management;
• Need to scale up WASH interventions to increase common access to safe water. region of Maradi, specifically in the health district of Madarounfa.
