Why?

The Nigerian refugee populations’ survival and immediate needs are met through the provision of essential emergency relief, health, hygiene promotion and shelter assistance. Fighting between the Nigerian Armed Forces and Boko Haram militia group in northern Nigeria has continued to result in the displacement of thousands of people across the border into neighboring Chad. What?

This project carries out needs assessment and analysis for validation of the needs of the refugee population, with the
intention of modifying/extending the operation in all sectors as required. Distribution/replenishment of NFIs, shelter and hygiene related items. Provision aqua tablets for three months; and establishment of beneficiary sanitation committees to ensure that the camp environment is kept clean. Train volunteers to carry out health/hygiene campaigns.

Who?

Targeting a total of 2,500 Nigerian Refugees (500 households) in the Ngouboua camp.
