The project aims to support the Lebanese Red Cross in scaling up their response capacity. Lebanese Red Cross is the important player in the domain of ambulance services and blood transfusion services in Lebanon. LRCS accepted by all, due to their neutrality and impartiality in helping all in need. LRCS has safe acces and can navigate blockades and demonstrations, amid times of unrest and economical crisis.
Lebanese Red Cross had to upscale their response capacity due to increased demand resulting from the continuing social, political and economical crisis, in the meantime LRCS had to navigate decreasing income at national level due to this situation. Extra funds are needed for LRCS to be able to continue the delivery of adequate assistance to Lebanese communities and refugees hosted in the country.
The project aims to support the Lebanese Red Cross in scaling up their response capacity during a period of 12 months, with specific focus on Emergency Medical Services, blood transfusions, Primary Healthcare Centers and emergency assistance to vulnerable households (in-kind & cash based assistance).
