What is COVID-19 and how do we deal with it in the Netherlands

To prevent the virus from spreading, the main things to remember are to maintain a 1.5-metre distance, wash your hands frequently and restrict your contacts with other people as much as possible.

Testing for COVID-19, how does that work in the Netherlands? (even if you do not have a BSN – i.e. citizen service or social security number)

Anyone who has symptoms that look like they may mean you have the coronavirus can get a test. Make sure you do not infect other people.

What is the corona vaccine and how can I get one

Everybody in the Netherlands is entitled to a free vaccine, even if you do not have the right papers to be in the Netherlands.

If you don’t have a BSN or postal address, check helpfulinformation.redcross.nl/covid for more information about the vaccine.

Educational materials about the coronavirus

Do you know the right way to properly wash your hands? And which steps to take to reduce the risk of infection? We have made a series of flyers containing top tips on how to deal with the coronavirus. These tips are in line with the guidelines from the RIVM (the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment) and the WHO (the World Health Organisation).

These flyers explain how to protect yourself and others. They also ask readers to look after the more vulnerable among those around you. The information in the flyers applies to everybody, including you!

Would you like to help spreading the information? Please download and share the flyer.
