Why?
The programme aims to reduce child mortality due to diarrhoea in eleven countries. To avoid infection of the youngest, most vulnerable children within a family, the entire community is assisted by providing clean drinking water, sanitary facilities and soap. Furthermore, the Red Cross gives parents and children information and training on hygiene and care for people with diarrhoea.
