Access to quality health services of people living In the Gaza Strip Phase II

Land: Palestinian Territories
Vooruitgang: Closed
Budget: € 784468
Looptijd: 2015-12-31 - 2017-12-30

Why?

This project aims to continue to address health, psychosocial, emergency medical services, rehabilitation and Open Studio as well as disaster preparedness and response issues. Major concerns remain on the blockade imposed on Gaza along with restrictions hampering the recovery from the 2014 war, the restrictions on movements affecting access to basic services and access to land and resources. The prolonged nature of the humanitarian crisis and the recurrent cycle of shocks, natural and manmade e.g. heat and winter waves, as well as three wars in six years, have devastated the public infrastructure, while a chronic power deficit disrupts the supply of basic services and undermines already vulnerable living conditions of the population. The project is implemented in the Gaza Strip

What?

The PRCS operates in two main program areas: social and health. Disaster management, youth, psychosocial support and rehabilitation (for people with disabilities) falls under social while primary health care, EMS and hospitals are under health

More than 50,000 people will be reached with services, PHC, Hospitals, CBHFA, EMS, Open Studio & CBHFA. 200 staff, volunteers and CACs will be trained on different topics and are well prepared to respond/address community needs.
