• PGI and THB training: EUR 18.000
Please see below details with regards to the training
o Title: PGI and THB training
o Participants: primarily PGI focal points from Europe region will be invited, selection will be done based on the ToR. Participation will be open to participants engaged in migration activities as well, in case PGI focal points will not be available within the National Societies invited.
o Location: IFRC Regional Office for Europe, Budapest
o Duration: 4 days
o Possible dates: TBC
o Total budget needed: 20,500 CHF (equivalent of 18,000 EUR) composed of the following:
CHF 15,000 for workshop
CHF 3,000 for covering preparation costs (coordination meetings etc.)
CHF 2,500 for printing of the toolkit

• IM position: EUR 32.000
We can confirm that out of the pledge EUR 32.000 will be utilized for the IM position.
We have however been in intensive discussion with our colleagues in ROE and Geneva regarding the IM work and how to ensure continuity and sustainability.
We have taken into consideration (1) previous experience and related challenges in terms of ensuring funding for IM (including the cost for position and activities), (2) practice in other regions and (3) potential opportunity for the regional IM colleague to support global initiatives as well (specifically mobile data collection work) and concluded that, in order to ensure sustainability of the ongoing work and have longer term commitment to the IM file, we should try and switch from delegate position to locally recruited one. We believe that this solution of having a local staff member contributing not only to the regional strategy but also to global priorities, would be more sustainable and cost-efficient.
In light of this we would like to propose to use the EUR 32,000 to cover a 2-month extension of Federica’s contract (CHF 21,000 = EUR 18,500) and in the meantime with Federica’s support to recruit and train a local IM colleague, and use the remaining funds to cover partly his/her activities and salary costs for four initial months.
