Why?
Health in Crisis Phase II
As two-thirds of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon are extremely poor and are unable to cover the cost associated with their treatments, it is crucial that PRCS/L can continue to provide health care services free of charge; thus PRCS/L needs urgent support in covering medication and treatment costs for Palestinian refugees and other vulnerable groups. PRCS/L also requires support to cover the purchase of medical equipment, emergency medical services as well as to upgrade the services provided. This also necessitates support from Movement partners for hospital running costs. This project builds on and complements ongoing initiatives by other RC/RC Movement partners supporting PRCS/L in this essential activity as well as previous support provided by NLRC.
