Why?
SHO campaign contribution to LRCS Response on Beirut Explosion On August 4th 2020, an explosion took place in the harbor of Beirut, leading to more than 4000 people being injured, and more than 100 deaths. Many houses are destroyed, and the destruction of the harbor complicates arrival of goods most necessary in times of economic crisis and the covid-19 pandemic. In response a SHO (GIRO 555) campaign was organized within the Netherlands. This project facilitates a contribution from the SHO campaign to the LRCS Response on the Beirut Explosion. Beirut, Lebanon
What?
The project is a contribution from the SHO campaign to the appeal of the Lebanese Red Cross in response to the 2020 Beirut Explosion. The following clusters will benefit from the SHO campaign:
a) Cash (Cash Voucher Assistance to beneficiaries)
b) Health (Equipment, consumables and other material for emergency medical services, blood transfusion centers, medical social, operational costs for responding to needs)
c) Basic Assistance & WASH
