Throughout the on-going crisis in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Red Cross has worked multilaterally to actively improve the situations of displaced persons both in and outside of Ukraine, including the provision of items that will assist in winter survival. Due to armed conflict in Ukraine, more than 800,000 people have been forced out of their homes. 300,000 have fled abroad. Many internally displaced persons lack the means to survive the winter. The project takes place in and outside of Ukraine.
Improving displaced persons ability to cope with winter is carried out through collecting and providing winter clothes, blankets, food and non-food items, roof repair kits and other means of shelter-related repair.
The project aids persons displaced by the conflict in Ukraine.
